"KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA, Duliajan" was established in the year 1977 and was shifted to its permanent structure in 1982 in a sprawling campus of 14 acres in the South East of Duliajan, popularly known as OIL TOWN under the patronage of OIL INDIA LIMITED which is a premier National Oil Company engaged in the business of exploration, production and transportation of crude oil in India .The vidyalaya was started to cater to the educational needs of the wards of the OIL employees who have sound educational and technical background. Kendriya Vidyalaya Duliajan (the biggest KV in Silchar Region) is a miniature India inculcating in its students feelings of patriotism, brotherhood and national integration.

The school is up to +2 level having four sections in each class from I to X and one section each in Science, Arts & Commerce at +2 level offering a good range of subject combinations .We have a very sound and exemplary track of producing quality results in AISS & AISSC Exams conducted by the CBSE. Every year a good number of our students are selected in Medical, Engineering and other professional courses in India and abroad.

The vidyalaya has a very good infrastructure for imparting quality education. We have a well developed computer Lab with INTER-NET facility, a very rich library having more than 11000 books on all fields and 22 periodicals regularly subscribed, fully equipped Physics / Chemistry / Bio & Math's Labs, a very well developed teaching aids room with LCD, Overhead Projector and all sort of educational CD’s & gadgets, a well maintained playground with Experts & Coaches in Cricket, Football, Basketball, TT & Athletics.

We give maximum stress on all round development of child’s personality. We have engaged experts and coaches in the field of Art & Craft / Music (Vocal & Instrumental) as well. Through CCA and other extra-curricular activities children are provided an appropriate platform to exhibit their talents. Scouting, Trekking and Para-sailing are a part of our regular programme. We bring out the vidyalaya magazine annually to nurture the creative talent of the children.

Our staff is regularly trained through In-service training programmes, workshops and induction courses to equip them with the latest concepts in the subject and methodology. Our mission is to produce future citizens endowed with values and skills to face the challenges of tomorrow's world.

1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education ;
2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education ;
3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and
4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of ?Indianness? among children
