Youth Parliament
Every year Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of India conducts Youth Parliament Competition to promote understanding of the largest democratic set up and parliamentary functioning among the youths of the country. KV Duliajan was selected one of the 05 KVs under Silchar Region for conduct of the 18th Youth Parliament Competition in the year 2005-06.In the 1st week of Sep. 2005 a team of three judges comprising of a local MLA, Education Officer KVS(SR) and one Principal adjudged the performance of all 5 KVs at Regional Level. KV Duliajan has been declared as the best team to qualify for Zonal Level Competition.
Games & Sports
In sports arena KV Duliajan has again registered its glorious performance at KVS National Sports Meet 2008 held at New Delhi. In total 09 medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) have been bagged by our children and 07 students have been selected for SGFI Meet 2008 in which open inter state competitions among school children are held at various venues.
Science and Social Science Competitions
Every year KVS conducts Cluster, Regional & National Level competitions in Science and Social Science on a given theme. KV Duliajan has always represented the Regional at National Level. This year two children from our school represented Silchar Region at National Level. Miss Kasturi Krishnatreya of Class XI Science has been selected at KVS National Meet in Science Exhibition to represent KVS in Open National Science Exhibition.
Scout & Guide and NCC Activities
We have a good team of teachers well trained in Scout & Guides. In total 04 troops are functioning very effectively in vidyalaya. In the academic year 2008-09 , four students have passed the “Rajyapal Purashkar” Test held at KV Maligaon. These scouts will further be oriented through a rigorous traing programme to qualify for “Rastrapti Puraskar”. Master Arnab Dutta participated in National Scout Jumboorie held at Hardwar. KV Duliajan has got approval from the KVS authorities to raise ½ troop Jr. Boys’ and ½ troop Jr. Girls NCC Troop. The proposal has already been submitted with the NCC Bn. Digboi for further concurrence from NCC Directorate. We are confident that from the academic session 2008-09 we will start NCC in the vidyalaya.
